Jacqueline was born and raised in Glasgow. She began singing at an early age and went on to study BA Applied Music at the University of Strathclyde. Her studies included music history, technology and orchestration/composition. Her specialisation was in performance and she went on to win the Alexander Stone Award for her final year Opera Recital.
Her first public concert was at the age of 8 in the Theatre Royal and since then has performed extensively in all forms of music from Classical to Popular, Jazz and Improvisation. She has worked as a vocal coach both privately and in theatre schools, and has also been involved in masterclasses and teaching projects, including the International Academy of Music in Nice.
As an undergraduate, she was involved in a number of placements and voluntary positions in Arts Administration, which led her to pursue a career in this area. Since graduation she has been on the staff at Scottish Opera in a number of departments, including Administration, Finance and Chorus Management.
