The startling and terrifying prophetic visions of the seven trumpeters of the Apocalypse are explored through live music and electronics, real time video, movement and lighting. Prepare to be mesmerized, as traditional boundaries of music are broken to take you on a turbulent and emotional journey.
The solo trumpet is performed from memory by Mark O’Keeffe, the principal trumpeter of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. The summoning and sounding of each of the Seven Trumpets unleashes increasingly spectacular events as the score develops. Composer Anthea Haddow; direction and concept Cathie Boyd; lighting design Nich Smith with real time visuals by Martin Parker.
