The hour of remembrance has drawn close again. I see you, hear you, feel you

Black over Red is a multi art-form choral work combining live music, dance and video on a grand scale with a cast of 25. It is based on the epic poem Requiem by Anna Akhmatova and directed by Cathie Boyd.

The poetry is portrayed by dancer Michelle Man who dances amidst stunning sculptures by Latvia’s foremost artist Glebs Pantelejevs. The Latvian Radio Choir move whilst singing to convey the emotion of the score, composed by Anthea Haddow.

A Latvian Radio Choir/Cryptic co-production commissioned by Tramway and supported by the Latvian National Opera, Riga and Homo Novus Festival.
