Sonic Dreams

One of the most remarkable experiments in this year’s Edinburgh International Science Festival is Sonic Dreams - a ground breaking marriage between science and art. Cryptic is curating the sound and advising on the overall artist content for Sonic Dreams with ARUP Acoustics.

Relax in an extraordinary 'sound lab' and, as the soundscapes wrap around you, embark on a fantastical journey to the heart of natural worlds, foreign cities and fabulous performances. A revolutionary 3D sound system will transport you in a way that you will have not experienced before. Not to be missed!

This sound installation is based on a new, super-realistic 3D sound system called iXDlab, created by engineering firm ARUP and Glasgow School of Arts. For updates on the programme visit www.sciencefestival.co.uk

When: 3 – 17th April 2010, 10am – 8pm daily
Where: St Andrew Square, Edinburgh
£2.00, performances last around 20 minutes. For all ages.
