The Baghdad Monologue - Set Model
A mid-summer rehearsal of the Baghdad Monologue gave the team an opportunity to being to envision this production of the piece. Frances M Lynch, the performer, has been apart of the development of this music theatre work since its creation a few years ago.. Having performed this piece several times, Lynch is now under the direction of Cathie Boyd, who has a new vision for this piece—a woman confined by a wall of clouded glass with metal reinforcements. The performance is also taking a different approach to the accent/origin of the character as Lynch’s native Scottish accent is being shifted to a more neutral English tone. This week’s rehearsals were firmly based in the re-articulation of the text and the strengthening of these changes.
