Parallel Lines - About

So plump and tempting ... he couldn’t resist

Parallel Lines is based on the seductive ‘yes’ Soliloquy in James Joyce’s Ulysses. Cryptic invites you to spend an evening with the alluring Molly Bloom, an hour which spans a lifetime. With stunning visuals and sumptuous set design, Cryptic have transformed Molly Bloom's soliloquy into a raunchy, voluptuous hour of sensation and emotion. Combining live music and rhythmic text this piece of music theatre is a Fringe First Winner at the Edinburgh Festival. Scored for mezzo soprano, clarinet, cello and actress.

Text James Joyce; composer David Paul Jones; director Cathie Boyd, set and costumes Mark Leese and lighting Paul Sorley.

A Tramway/ Traverse Theatre co-production.
