In the aftermath of crisis, we’re often told that time heals. But time is weird: simultaneously a universal measurement on which we all rely and something that we experience in deeply subjective ways. Recovery time may mean very different things to different people, and recovery itself take wildly variant forms – as Ghada Eissa and Nik Rawlings explore in theiraudiovisual installation. Disordered bodies undergo wet mutations and the symbols of illness and medication tumble through space, to a soundtrack of piping vocals and pulsing mechanical music.
