A French/American Artist and recent graduate of GSA, Lene de Montaigu brings our 2022 Cryptic Nights programme to a close with her interactive installation Piano Sketches – a digitally and acoustic piano rebuilt from recycled and reimagined parts.
The recycled piano will be first played by Lene, introducing her own creative interpretation of the instrument’s voice. This performance is a work in itself, shared with an audience for one time only. From the moment she leaves the piano, this same piano is available for the public to observe and listen to.
