Slow Sonic Stroll is a creative exploration of the world’s peatlands and their essential role in environmental protection through a compelling series of sonic installations and sculptures.

Under the Creative Direction of Cathie Boyd, artists Kathy Hinde, Heather Lander, Matthew Olden and composer Malcolm Lindsay have made beautiful outdoor artworks in response to the Scottish peatlands, from soundscapes capturing the calls of native wildlife to the gradual process of peat formation, and even the way the blanket bog ‘breathes’ as it expands and contracts.

Visitors to Slow Sonic Stroll will enjoy a much-needed departure from fast-paced everyday life which will leave you relaxed and also enlightened about the important role played by all peatland environments in the prevention of climate change.
